FAQ's

I don’t live local to Chaffinch/don’t live in the UK, can I get involved?

YES! We have roles that can performed from anywhere in the world. Even if you don’t have a regular internet connection, there are still many ways you can help. Just get in touch!

I’m under 18, is that a problem?

No. Depending on your age and the role, we may ask for your parent or guardian’s consent for you to be involved, but there’s plenty you can do as a volunteer. Unfortunately, you can’t become a trustee until after your 18th birthday.

I work in a school. Can my class get involved?

We would love to hear from you. Learning about different cultures is an important part of the school curriculum and we’d love to connect with you. Children helping children is always very special so we can definitely find some ways that your class can get involved.

Can I volunteer at the centre in Kibera?

We don’t currently have this option due to all the practical demands of such a programme. However, our established volunteers will be the first to know if this option becomes available in the future.
