‘Stars for Future Stars’

What’s this?
‘Stars for Future Stars’ was an appeal for people to knit or crochet small soft toy stars. The hope is that every child using the centre will be given a star at Christmas to remind them that they are indeed future stars.
We received a fantastic total of 99 adorable little stars, all made with a lot of love.

‘One More Card’

What’s this?
‘One More Card’ was an appeal for people to write a Christmas card for a child at Future Stars, with the aim of providing a personally addressed card for every child.
We received over 200 cards.
Don’t forget to save the cards you receive this year so the picture half can be used next year!

Christmas Party Funding

What’s this?
Since Chaffinch’s birth, providing a Christmas celebration has been important. It gives the children a chance to forget the hardships of life in the slum and just enjoy being children.
Contributions toward the costs of food for the day are much appreciated. A budget of £560 will provide a wonderful day for around 100 children, and employment for 5 cooks who will take home money that will allow their own families to celebrate.
